Halcyon Email System

The Halcyon Software Email System has been created using Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) components for NTS. CDO components make it much easier for you to send and receive mail items to and from your own applications. You can create programmable messaging objects and then use their properties and methods to meet your own requirements.

With Halcyon Email, you can exchange email messages with anyone on the Internet. The Internet Connection Wizard helps you connect to one or more mail/news servers. Before using Halcyon Email, make sure you have an email account provided by an Internet Service Provider (ISP) or your own network administrator.

Current Limitations of this version

  • Only one message may be sent at a time. You need to exit and restart the mail system to send another message.
  • Once you have sent mail, you need to restart the mail system to receive mail.

NOTE: All of the above limitations will be addressed shortly.
